The plan for No. 11
This long par 4 begins with water to the right before opening into a fairway that runs toward a bunkered green. Prioritize a tee-shot finish that permits clean contact on the second shot. The hole rewards a complete two-shot plan rather than distance alone.
Off the tee
The central fairway provides the clearest route past the right-side pond. Assess the landing area where your drive will actually finish, particularly if the ball is likely to run. Choose a target that accommodates your normal miss without relying on a shoreline bounce.
Approach & recovery
The approach reaches a green with bunkers beside the putting surface. When the remaining distance is large, make the green’s broad area the target. If reaching it is doubtful, identify a safe short position from the actual lie instead of treating every second shot as a green attempt.
On the green
The putting surface has usable depth beyond the entrance. Work with that space on the approach and identify the flag’s section before making the final club decision. Green contours provide terrain context; current pace and pin position still govern the putt.
Watch for
- Water right near the opening corridor; bunkers border the green.
