The plan for No. 14
This par 4 curves around a large lake on the left, with bunkers on the right side of the landing area. Cutting the corner trades distance for a more demanding water carry. Choose a route whose landing space matches the shot you can reliably play.
Off the tee
The safer target follows the fairway around the right side of the lake. Before taking a shorter line, measure the required carry from your actual marker and check where the ball would finish. Clearing water is only one part of a successful tee shot.
Approach & recovery
The approach continues around the water toward a green close to the lake. Reassess the angle after the drive: a target that was visible from the tee may now be hidden by the curve. Give a lake-side flag more margin when the lie or distance is uncertain.
On the green
The mapped green lies across the upper end of the shoreline. Prioritize a ball on the putting surface over a short-sided miss toward the water. The contour view can help orient the green, but it does not identify the day’s pin position.
Watch for
- Lake along the left and approach; bunkers right of the drive and near the green.
