About TPC Twin Cities

Course Story

Water shapes the way TPC Twin Cities is played, especially on the approaches to holes 2, 14, 17 and 18. The club describes bentgrass tees, fairways and greens among prairie grasses and wetlands. Its 2018 competitive enhancement created distinct member and PGA TOUR setups: members play par 72, while the TOUR plays par 71. For planning a round, start with the tee column you will use and keep each hole’s target separate from its longest published yardage. The map marker is a neutral reference position, not a claim about the day’s tee markers. Use the course scorecard for tee-specific yardage and on-course measurements for an actual carry.

Tactical DNA & Fairway Corridors

Master Gameplan

Choose landing areas before clubs on the water-lined holes. On 2, the broad part of the fairway and the more aggressive line near water create different second shots. On 7, a controlled placement must be weighed against a green surrounded by a lake and sand. The par 5s allow a deliberate three-shot route, but a layup still needs an identified patch of fairway rather than an arbitrary distance. Hole 14 wraps around the lake; 17 asks for a reliable water carry; and 18 makes both the drive and the final approach matter. Green terrain views describe broad modeled tendencies. They do not replace current pin positions, a putting read or knowledge of your own carry distances.

Pro Tips & Course Advice

6 Caddie Tips
1

Use the current member tee column; tournament totals and rating combinations may differ.

2

Measure water carries from your actual marker or ball position.

3

Match tee-shot dispersion to the width of the landing area.

4

Choose a specific fairway target for each par-5 layup.

5

Treat the neutral map position as orientation, not a named tee guarantee.

6

Use the dated terrain preview for broad green preparation and verify the actual putting conditions on arrival.
