The plan for No. 16
Water follows the right side of this par 4 for much of the driving corridor. Fairway sand on the left means simply aiming farther away from the lake is not a complete plan. Select a balanced target in the available fairway.
Off the tee
Assess the water and left fairway bunker at your expected finishing distance. A central target should include room for normal curvature and roll. If the longest club spreads beyond that space, choose a shorter shot that leaves a manageable approach.
Approach & recovery
The green approach is bordered by a substantial bunker on the right. Check the carry to the putting surface from the actual lie and avoid a target that depends on a narrow gap beside the sand. A central landing point is especially useful after a drive near the water.
