Shoal Creek Golf Club Hole by Hole - 9th Hole

Hole 9 at Shoal Creek Golf Club is a long par 4, measuring in at 455 yards from the championship tees. From the other tees it plays 415 yards (pro), 380 yards (men's and seniors'), and 300 yards (senior women's). The hole doglegs slightly to the left, with a 41 yard wide fairway that should be relatively easy to hit off of the tee. However, there are three bunkers on this hole which will come into play if you miss your drive too far right or left. In addition, there is water hazard along the left side of the fairway so accuracy off the tee is important here.

The green itself has nine bunkers around its perimeter as well as some mounding behind it which can make for an interesting approach shot depending on where your ball ends up after your drive. Players should also take into account local weather conditions when playing this hole; altitude changes, temperature variations and wind speeds all have an impact on how far balls fly here throughout each season.
