Course Strategy & Gameplan
Tactical DNA & Fairway Corridors
Wind off the Arabian Gulf shapes the round: the club notes the 2nd often plays into it and that driving the 14th is only realistic downwind. Many greens sit at ground level and accept running approaches; the 10th is the club's exception, where a high approach is favoured. The sea is in play on 3, 8, 9, 13, 14, 16, 17 and 18. On tour, the fairways are some of the widest of the season but missing them is punished hard, and the very large greens leave more long lag putts than usual when the wind blows.
