About Pinehurst Resort Country Club The Cradle

Course Story

Opened in 2017, The Cradle brings Hanse’s architectural ideas into a compact round of short shots. The third’s punchbowl is a memorable example of a green shape that can help gather the ball; elsewhere, bunkers and angled targets ask for controlled distance rather than power. The operator’s current hole-by-hole card totals 789 yards. USGA’s captured rating row totals 766 yards; these are retained as different source records rather than blended into a fictional scorecard.

Tactical DNA & Fairway Corridors

Master Gameplan

Choose the shot from today’s markers and your own short-club distances. A repeatable partial swing is often more useful than forcing a full club, and a ball on the broad part of the green is a sound starting point. Read a missed-green lie before deciding between a low recovery and a lofted one. Give each first putt proper attention: a short course can still test pace across a substantial green.
