The plan for No. 2
Keep the front-right bunker outside the intended miss on this compact hole.
Off the tee
Choose a comfortable club or partial swing for the actual distance. A line into the center-left body offers more room than one grazing the sand. From this tee the green is 68 yards to the front, 81 to the center and 96 to the back. Carrying the front bunker takes 66 yards.
Approach & recovery
A short-right miss leaves a bunker recovery. From grass elsewhere, use the simplest shot that can reach and remain on the surface.
On the green
The green opens beyond its narrower front section. Give the first putt enough pace for the actual slope rather than treating every short-course putt as flat.
Watch for
- Front-right bunker
- Narrow front section
- Angled putting surface
