Founded in 1956, Cherokee Town and Country Club stands as a beacon of golfing tradition with its town and country facilities located twelve miles apart. The golf courses, nestled north of Sandy Springs, bear the imprint of golfing excellence and architectural evolution.

In 1957, David Gill laid the foundation with the original 18-hole Hillside, later transformed into the South layout. Expansion continued in 1977 with Willard Byrd's Pineside nine and in 1986, Joe Lee and Rocky Roquemore added the final strokes, crafting the Riverside course along the Chattahoochee River.

The North course, a testament to Byrd, Lee, Roquemore, and Tom Fazio's refinement in 1998, encapsulates the club's commitment to excellence. Cherokee Town and Country Club, often mentioned alongside Augusta National, remains an exclusive golf and country haven, invoking the spirit of golfing heritage since its inception.
