The plan for No. 7

The seventh’s angle matters. The green turns across the approach beside the canyon, so a drive that leaves a clear view is especially valuable on this demanding par 4.

Off the tee

Keep a deliberate margin from the canyon on the right. The left fairway bunkers must still be accounted for, but trying to shave the inside edge of the hole risks losing both the ball and the approach angle.

Approach & recovery

The large bunker guards the right-front of a diagonally set green. The approach grass opens on the left, which offers an alternative to a direct carry over sand, but a shot pushed too far left can also run beyond useful putting surface.

On the green

The elongated green runs from front-left to back-right, with several smaller slope changes. A flag at its far-right end leaves limited depth from some approach positions; target a wider section if the ball is unlikely to stop quickly.
