The plan for No. 3
On the downhill third, settle the playing distance before choosing the target. The front bunker, exposed setting and divided green make the best landing area depend on both the day’s wind and the flag’s section.
Off the tee
Use the actual tee position and check the wind at the green as well as at your feet. The recent playing video illustrates how the downhill view changes the distance decision; its recorded club and wind adjustment should not become your default.
Approach & recovery
The front-left bunker removes much of the short miss, while the approach grass curves around its right side. Choose a target that clears the bunker with a comfortable margin and leaves putting surface beyond the landing point. A boundary-side flag deserves less aggression when contact is uncertain.
On the green
The lobed outline contains distinct slope transitions in the 2024 terrain. First identify which lobe holds the flag, then judge whether you can reasonably land there; the green’s center is a safer target when the wind makes a small section unreliable.
