Black Desert Resort Golf Course

Nestled in the dramatic landscape of southern Utah, Black Desert Resort Golf Course emerges as a masterpiece of modern golf architecture, where ancient black lava fields meet vermilion cliffs in a setting that's both visually stunning and strategically challenging. This Tom Weiskopf-designed championship layout stretches 7,417 yards across terrain that tells the geological story of millions of years, creating a golf experience that's as much about the journey through this prehistoric landscape as it is about the scorecard.

The course's character is defined by its bold integration with the natural desert environment, where basalt rock formations and lava outcroppings aren't just scenic backdrops but integral design elements that influence strategy on nearly every hole. The layout showcases Weiskopf's vision of creating wide, generous fairways that invite aggressive play while concealing subtle challenges that reveal themselves as golfers progress toward increasingly complex green complexes.
