Hole 2 at Country Club at Muirfield Village is a challenging 578 yard Par 5 from the Championship tees. It's slightly dogleg left, requiring an accurate tee shot to avoid the 4 bunkers that guard the fairway and two water hazards on both sides of the green. The fairway is 52 yards wide, so there is plenty of room to hit your driver off the tee. With a slight elevation change and prevailing winds coming from right-to-left in spring/summer months, you'll want to keep your ball low off the tee for best results.

Your second shot will require a mid iron or hybrid depending on wind conditions as well as how far you hit it off the tee. This hole has one greenside bunker which makes up only 1% of total bunkers on this course, so don't let it factor too heavily into your approach strategy unless you have already missed several shots prior. Finally, be sure to take into account local weather conditions when playing this hole; altitude can cause some unique challenges with ball flight in colder months while temperature and wind can significantly affect club selection during warmer months!

Club Recommendations

1. Off the tee, aim for the center of the fairway and keep your ball low to take advantage of any right-to-left wind conditions.

2. For your second shot, select a mid iron or hybrid depending on how far you hit it off the tee, as well as local weather conditions such as wind direction and temperature.

3. Take into account elevation changes when playing this hole in colder months; altitude can cause some unique challenges with ball flight that must be taken into consideration when selecting clubs and aiming shots.

4. Don't let the single greenside bunker overly influence your approach strategy unless you have already missed several shots prior; this bunker makes up only 1% of total bunkers on this course so don't give it too much weight!
