Giant's Ridge Golf and Ski Resort (The Quarry Course) Hole by Hole - 7th Hole

Welcome to the 7th hole at Giant's Ridge Golf and Ski Resort, also known as "The Quarry Course." This par 3 is located in Biwabik, Minnesota and offers a challenging yet scenic experience for golfers of all skill levels. As you approach this hole, be sure to take into account the weather conditions that may affect your ball flight.

During the summer months, temperatures can reach up to 80 degrees Fahrenheit with moderate winds coming from the northwest. The altitude of this course (approximately 1,500 feet above sea level) may also impact your shots by making them travel slightly further than usual. Keep these factors in mind when selecting your club for both the tee shot and approach.

From the championship tees, this hole measures at a distance of 189 yards with a handicap of 15. For an average golfer who hits their driver around 217 yards, I recommend using a fairway wood or long iron off the tee to ensure accuracy on this narrow fairway. From there, aim for the center of the green which has an ample size of approximately 18,425 square feet.

For those playing from closer tees such as men's or seniors', distances are reduced to accommodate different skill levels without compromising difficulty. However, regardless of which tee box you choose to play from on this hole (including women's), it is important to note that water hazards are not present but there are two greenside bunkers accounting for only about three percent of total bunker coverage on and around the green.
