Woodholme Country Club Hole by Hole - 2nd Hole

Hole 2 at Woodholme Country Club is a par 5, playing 529 yards from the men's tees and 469 yards from the women's tees. This slight dogleg right plays slightly uphill and has water coming into play on the right side of the fairway. The fairway width is approximately 45 yards wide with a slight curvature to the right. There are three greenside bunkers that come into play as 1% of total green area (7492 sq ft).

In warmer months, golfers can expect some help off the tee due to increased temperatures which will cause their ball to fly farther than normal - but be careful not to overshoot your target! During colder months, club selection for both tee shot and approach should take into account decreased temperature which could affect ball flight distance by up to 10%. Wind can also have an effect on this hole, so choose clubs accordingly based on direction and speed.

The ideal drive here would land in between 220-250 yards depending on conditions; if you hit it too far you may end up in trouble with water or trees coming into play. Your second shot should be around 140-160 yards depending on conditions; again beware of overshooting your target as there are hazards lurking beyond the green. A pitching wedge or 9 iron should get you close enough for birdie chances when approaching this hole in good weather conditions!
