Streamsong Resort (Black Course)

Rising from the reclaimed phosphate mining landscape of central Florida, Streamsong Black stands as a testament to visionary golf architecture, where Gil Hanse transformed thousands of acres of rolling sand dunes, pristine lakes, and natural terrain into Golf Digest's 2018 Best New Golf Course of the Year. This Par-73 championship layout sprawls across 7,331 yards of dramatic topography that bears striking resemblance to Australia's renowned Sand Belt region, featuring flowing elevation changes, tumbling sand ridges, and sweeping vistas that stretch to the horizon.

The course's design philosophy embraces the raw beauty of its unique setting, with holes routed in multiple directions to take advantage of prevailing winds and showcase the property's diverse landscapes. Hanse's masterful use of the expansive canvas creates a links-style experience in an unexpected Florida setting, where firm and fast conditions blur the lines between tightly mown fairways and putting surfaces. The scale is breathtaking—massive greens demand precision in approach shots and reward creative short game play, while wide fairways provide strategic options for players of all skill levels.
