About Pebble Beach Golf Links
Pebble Beach Golf Links sits on the Monterey Peninsula above Carmel Bay, where ocean views, cypress trees, and small greens define every decision. The public routing is a par 72 that mixes reachable par 5s, clifftop par 3s, and narrow fairways that reward a plan for the next shot rather than distance alone.
Use the hole maps for landing areas and hazard edges, then read each hole from tee to green. Wind off the Pacific, firm fairways, and Poa annua greens can change club selection quickly, so confirm today's tees and pin positions before treating any yardage as automatic.
Course Strategy & Gameplan
Tactical DNA & Fairway Corridors
Build the round around fairway position and green sections. On the early holes, favor the side of the fairway that leaves the clearest approach line. When the course turns toward the water, trade extra distance for a safer angle away from cliffs and bunkers.
Approach Angles & Green Complex Defense
On par 3s, pick a landing area with margin for your normal miss before choosing a club. On the closing stretch along Stillwater Cove, a putt from the correct tier or section of green is often worth more than chasing a tucked flag from a poor lie.
Pro Tips & Course Advice
Confirm the tees and pin sheet in use; tournament setups can differ from the everyday card.
When wind blows off the ocean, reassess carry targets on the clifftop holes rather than reusing calm-day clubs.
Use mapped hazard fronts as references, not automatic lay-up commands.
Seasonal Playing Conditions
Coastal fog, wind, and firm turf can change rollout and green speed throughout the day.
