Hole 10 at Cypress Point Club is a challenging par 5 that measures 480 yards from the men's tees. The slight dogleg right requires accuracy off of the tee to avoid the six strategically placed bunkers and leave yourself in position for your second shot. In addition, players must be mindful of local weather conditions as altitude, temperature and wind can impact ball flight. For example, during summer months when temperatures are high, you may find yourself needing an extra club or two due to increased carry distance on shots.
The approach shot plays slightly uphill towards a green that features three percent greenside bunkers which will require precision with your iron play if you want to give yourself a chance at birdie or better! With an average driver length of 217 yards and 7 iron 140 yards for our golfer, they should consider hitting their driver off the tee followed by a 7 iron into the green depending on pin location and wind direction/speed.

Club Recommendations
To maximize your chances of success on this hole, it is important to select the right club off the tee. Consider choosing a club that will provide you with enough distance while still allowing you to stay away from the bunkers. Additionally, be sure to factor in weather conditions when selecting a club as temperatures and wind can have an impact on ball flight.
Once you are in position for your second shot, take into account pin location and wind direction/speed before deciding which iron to hit into the green. Aiming for center of the green should give you a good chance at birdie or better if executed correctly! Lastly, remember that there are three percent greenside bunkers so accuracy with your iron play is key here!
