The event was not held in 2020 or 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Notable records include Jin Young Ko's tournament scoring record of 262 (-26) set at Magna Golf Club in 2019, and Lydia Ko becoming the youngest LPGA Tour winner in history at age 15 when she won as an amateur in 2012. The 2026 edition returns to Royal Mayfair Golf Club in Edmonton for the third time (previously hosted by Lorena Ochoa's 2007 win and Lydia Ko's 2013 title).
