Founded in 2014 as "Made in Denmark" at HimmerLand Golf & Spa Resort (Farsø), the DP World Tour event was rebranded "Made in HimmerLand" (through 2023) and then "Danish Golf Championship" from 2024. It was cancelled in 2020 due to COVID-19. Bernd Wiesberger is the only two-time champion (2019 and 2021), and the lowest winning totals relative to par are the 21-under posted by Wiesberger (2021) and Oliver Wilson (2022). The venue has rotated repeatedly — HimmerLand, Silkeborg Ry (2018), Lübker (2024) and Furesø (2025) — with the 2026 edition set for Great Northern near Kerteminde on the island of Funen.
