Nestled on Long Island, New York, Shinnecock Hills Golf Club stands as a testament to golfing history and tradition. Believed to be the oldest incorporated golf club in the United States since its inception in 1891, it boasts the honor of having the oldest golf clubhouse (1892) and being the first American club to welcome women members from the start. As a founding member of the United States Golf Association (USGA), Shinnecock Hills has played a pivotal role in shaping the landscape of American golf. Hosting five U.S. Opens, including the 2018 edition won by Brooks Koepka, and scheduled to host a sixth in 2026, it holds a unique distinction as the only golf course to host the U.S. Open in three different centuries.
